How do I install my Shybexa Wefted Extensions?
The most popular method for installation is the sew in method.Your natural hair is braided into a pattern or rows throughout the head and the wefts of hair are then sewed onto the braids (also known as tracks.) You can also use a closure to give a natural hairline (if you don't want to have a ""leave-out"" of your own natural hair.)
Wefted extensions can be used for making wigs as well.
Consult your hairstylist and discover the perfect installation for you!
~How many bundles of hair do I need for a full head weave?
2-3 bundles of virgin hair is needed to complete a full head installation.
3-4 bundles of virgin hair is needed for a full head installation to make the weave look especially full and voluminous.
4-5 bundles of virgin hair is needed for a full head installation if you desire lengths longer than 20 inches of hair to make the hair look full and voluminous.
~When not wearing your extensions it is recommended that you place them flat in a storage container of your choice. This will keep them neat.
~You should only wash your extensions when necessary (for prolonged lifespan).
~When washing your hair with extensions you should wash them the way you would with your natural hair, but in a downward motion to avoid tangling.
~Avoid using hair products that contain alcohol and sulfates as they have a tendency to dry out the hair.
~You should wash your extensions with a sulfate free shampoo. For extra gentle care you may use a hydrating conditioner of your choice to wash the extensions.
~It is not mandatory to use shampoo with every wash when washing your extensions. Conditioner and water alone (also known as “co-washing”) are adequate for proper cleansing of your extensions. (Conditioner has mild detergents that will cleanse the hair).
~You should pat dry your extensions with a towel after washing them and lay them on a flat, clean surface to air dry.
~For best results use a moisturizing leave-in conditioner after washing your extensions.
~Always apply a heat-protectant spray prior to using hot tools such as flat irons and curling irons.
